The asymmetrical design aims to cater to a surfer's stance and the unique challenges posed by various wave conditions. The boards are specifically designed for either a natural footer or a goofey footer. By accommodating a surfer's natural foot positioning, the board maximizes control and responsiveness, allowing for smoother transitions rail to rail. This design encourages surfers to surf more dynamically from one rail to another promoting on the wave face surfing - the shorter rail might be suited for tighter turns while the longer rail provides stability during straight-line riding. Asymmetrical surfboards are often seen as unusual and therefore scare off most people.
